Refund & Cancellation

Important: We provide intangible digital services. Refunds depend on project milestones, subscription terms, and what has already been delivered or consumed.

1. Software development projects

For custom web or software development, the following structure generally applies unless your signed quotation states otherwise:

  1. Pre-development: If you cancel before kick-off, we may refund amounts paid, less any non-recoverable third-party or processing fees already incurred.
  2. In progress: If a project is cancelled mid-way, Webjala (Private) Limited may retain payment reflecting work completed to date (pro-rata or as set out in your agreement).
  3. Post-delivery: Once final deliverables are supplied or deployed to an agreed live environment, payments for that phase are typically non-refundable.

2. Subscription & hosting services

Recurring fees (for example monthly hosting or maintenance) are generally non-refundable for the billing period that has already started. You may cancel before the next renewal to avoid future charges, subject to your service agreement.

3. How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are usually initiated within 7 to 10 working days. Where payment was made through a gateway such as PayHere, credits are made to the original payment method where banking rules allow.
